Helen studied at the University of Kent at Canterbury and completed her legal practice course with distinction at the College of Law, Chester, in 2004. She has recently joined Symes Bains Broomer from a firm in Lincoln, having completed her training contract there in 2007, and working there for 12 years.
Helen is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and specialises in agricultural property matters such as the buying and selling of agricultural land, advising on Agricultural Holdings Act tenancies and farm business tenancies, and option agreements and leases for renewable energy projects.
She also has a wide knowledge of commercial property matters, including the buying and selling of development land and industrial properties, Landlord and Tenant transactions and refinancing for commercial lenders. She has been involved in the drafting and negotiation of conditional contracts, option agreements, overage agreements and planning agreements together with the setting up of residential estates.
In her spare time, Helen enjoys playing tennis and horse riding.
