I attended Schools locally before undertaking a degree in Law & Criminology at Humberside University in Hull. I completed the Legal Practice Course at York Law School but never one to stray too far afield, I secured a training contract with a local firm and qualified as a Solicitor in 2003. I began specialising in Family Law and Practice, qualified as Collaborative Lawyer and became a Partner in 2008.
In 2014 I practised in Personal Injury Clinical Negligence but returned to my roots practising Family law in 2021 when I joined Symes. I deal primarily with Divorce, Civil Partnerships, Separation, Cohabitation Agreements, Finances, Domestic Violence and Private Children matters.
I have often been told that I am not the stereotypical solicitor which I take as a compliment! I am down to earth, approachable, understanding but above all realistic. I am a member of Resolution and am committed to promoting a sensible approach to all family issues. I understand the high levels of stress that can be experienced by clients and always do my upmost to support them throughout the process. I care about all my clients and I am committed to achieving the best outcome for them taking into account their individual circumstances. I always feel a sense of pride when those clients return.
Outside of work I like to spend time with my family and love the great outdoors. I have always been interested in astronomy.
