A growing area of our practice at Symes Bains Broomer focuses on providing advice on legal issues surrounding the ever expanding area of renewable energy. Our firm has experience of being at the heart of projects involving renewable forms of energy such as wind and solar power. One specific area of expertise is advising our agricultural clients on the possibility of utilising part of their landholding for renewable projects in order to bring diversity of income to the farming business.
Our experience stretches to advising on the land law issues associated with letting land for renewable projects together with ancillary matters which arise such as the granting of easements for power cables. Indeed, our renewables team of Charles Broomer, Rodger Price, Laurence Kirkby and David Holden all have experience in legal issues of this nature. Additionally, more recently, Rodger Price and Charles Broomer have been leading the way in advising businesses on the terms of the commercial contracts involved in the actual build of the renewables apparatus itself and this is certainly a growing area of our practice. We are more than happy to discuss any potential renewables project with you and we would urge you to give us a call.
